Beautiful handblown vessel with “textural” pattern on the exterior. There are 4 colours used to create the finished piece which are all applied hot, either in the form of a thin layer or a drizzled trail.

These pieces are an exploration into the concept of sanctuary, especially the sanctuary I feel in woodland. The patterns are inspired by the gills of mushrooms - lamellae- which I might find as I explore the natural space I am in.

The colours I use tend to be what calls to me at the time, but I do think that colour can have a positive affect on the emotions that someone is feeling, so I do tend to try and use a brighter colour palette.

This piece is a highly unique, one-of-a-kind piece of art glass.
